PUBLIC MEETING REGARDING PROPOSED SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS TO WIS 69
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) invites you to a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed safety improvement projects to WIS 69 near the village of Monticello. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Monticello Town Hall, 238 N Main St, Monticello WI, 53570. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format.
Improvements to WIS 69 include the addition of a southbound left turn lane at the Wittenwyler Road intersection and the inclusion of a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of County Highway C/Urban Road. In addition, improvements include addressing structure deficiencies at the structure over the West Branch Little Sugar River (B-23-0023), as well as improvements to an existing culvert near Pierce Road.
The project will need to purchase right of way and temporary easements for the proposed improvements. Real estate staff will be available at the meeting if there are any questions. The real estate process is planned to begin in fall 2024. Construction is currently scheduled for 2026.
