Two years ago the LIFT program at SWCAP received many phone calls on election day from individuals wanting to get to the polls to vote.  LIFT has 42 volunteer drivers living in different parts of the six counties in Southwestern Wisconsin, including, maybe your town or village or city.  The discouraging calls were the few that we were unable to locate a driver for on election day.

This year I will, again, make trips to vote or to obtain voter ID, available at no charge to the passenger.  I hope that individuals needing that transportation will contact me before election day.

If you know of anyone that needs transportation, please share our phone number with them.  And if you find that you have a little extra time or know of someone with a little extra time and a desire to give back to their community, share our number with those folks too!

Our toll free 877-798-5438 number is best but the local number woks well, too.  608-930-2191.
