From cheese to bike trails, to the warm welcome of main street, Monticello is a friendly mid-west town just south of Madison, Wisconsin. Nestled in the heart of southern Wisconsin’s dairy land, this small community offers more then just a friendly farming community.
In addition to the deep history of cheesemaking in Green County and the surrounding area, Monticello is also a destination for those looking to hike and cycle the area’s recreational trails and State Park.
Cherry blossoms are always a breath taking start to a beautiful season at the Montesian Gardens. After walking through the blooms, relax by the Artesian spring fed Lake Montesian. Monticello is a charming rural town, a great place to call home.
